Precautionary Boil Water Notice

As a precautionary measure, we are issuing a boil water notice for the Concord and Idlewild areas of our system due to low water pressure caused by broken water lines in the system. Concord is the rural area East of Trenton and the Idlewild area is the rural area outside of Bradford City limits. The City of Bradford is not included in this notice. There is no indication that contamination has occurred, but out of an abundance of caution, until further notice, waters customers are advised to boil water prior to using it for drinking or food preparation. As a precaution, customers should take the following steps.

1. Prior to boiling, the water should be strained through a clean cloth to remove any sediment or floating material.

2. The water should then be heated to a vigorous boil, and the rolling boil should be maintained for one minute to insure disinfection.
